The only changes we noticed in the photo include a slightly larger and more rounded-off version of Buick's chrome waterfall grille and redesigned lower openings below the grille and headlamps along with the new squared-off fog lamps.

Buick has unveiled the 2012 Regal GS, ahead of its launch later next year.
Designed to compete with the Audi A4, the GS features modified fascias, a reduced ride height, trapezoidal exhaust tips, and 19-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the cabin has sport seats, a flat-bottom steering wheel, aluminum pedals, and satin-finish accents. Additional goodies include leather upholstery, a Harmon/Kardon audio system, and Bluetooth connectivity.
Despite the visual similarities to the Insignia OPC / VXR, the GS uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 255 hp (190 kW / 259 PS) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. This is a bit of a disappointment considering the OPC has a turbocharged 2.8-liter V6 with 321 hp (239 kW / 325 PS) and 321 lb-ft (435 Nm) of torque. Furthermore, the GS is front-wheel drive instead of all-wheel drive.
So what does this boil down to? Less performance. The OPC accelerates from 0-60 mph in 5.6 seconds, while the GS does the same task in "less than seven seconds."
To make up for being neutered, the car has been equipped with a HiPerStrut front suspension (to reign in torque steer), Interactive Drive Control, and a high-performance braking system with Brembo front calipers. Will this be enough to save face? Only time will tell.
